Antennas To Hell (Special Edition) [Explicit] By Slipknot
This release celebrates the first chapter of Slipknot a chapter where they ve gone from unknown to the one of the biggest rock bands in the world all on their own terms. The journey from – “(sic)” – track 1 on their self-titled debut – to “Snuff” – the haunting #1 rock track from 2008 s All Hope Is Gone – proves that. The album features fan favorites, live classics as well as well known radio hits.

Slipknot at their finest!,
Awesome compilation album! The essential Slipknot music is all present, and will be enjoyed by both diehard maggots and casual fans. Definitely splurge for the ’2-Disc Special Edition’ (with the ‘Download Fesival’ CD), as the live content is OUTSTANDING.
Bottom line: If you’re even thinking about buying ‘Antennas To Hell’, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

|Antennas To Hell,
Antennas To Hell is the best representation of the evolution of the band over the years. A great cd to add to your collection. Disc One consists of Slipknot’s best songs ever recorded, including songs from their 1999 self-titled album, Iowa, Vol. 3 and All Hope Is Gone. Also includes a remix of My Plague and live versions of The Heretic Anthem and Purity from their Disasterpieces DVD. Disc Two contains audio of the band’s entire performance at the Download Festival in 2009. The second disc alone is worth the purchase. This is an album any Slipknot fan should get their hands on.

|Truly a Best Of,
There really isn’t much to say about this album other than it’s a great compilation of what I personally consider to be some of Slipknot’s best songs. You can’t really rate this as you would a full release so I gave this an overall rating of how I view the band and it’s progression over the years.
Slipknot is far from a perfect band. A perfect band, to me, is a band that has found their sound and is comfortable within it. Slipknot is a band that is still trying to fit other molds whether that be Heavy Rock, Thrash, or anything in between. Even recently there were rumors (I haven’t read the “source” myself) of Slipknot confessing their new album to be more like one of their past albums: IOWA. Maybe they’ve finally found their identity in the music world? Only time will tell.
In my opinion their greatest strengths have been rebellious lyrics, obscure riffs/sound effects(which add an illusion of “heavyness”), and the lead singer’s voice. Not to mention their ability to write some insanely catchy radio-friendly songs. This, however, can only last so long. I have to admit though – while Slipknot is not in my top 10 Metal bands list, they’re definitely my first go-to band amongst guilty pleasures.
This would be a great album to buy if you want to see what Slipknot has been all about through their growth without having to buy every album they’ve released. I recommend it to any Metal-head who isn’t afraid to be wrongfully stereotyped as having bad taste in music. Cheers!
